ASP/ASP.Net Development

Microsoft has always kept up with the competition from many companies and it replied for for SUN's JSP using its very brainchild ASP(Active Server Pages). Now ASP has clearly out-shined JSP by all stands and its now the language used by most of the programmers. Later ASP was combined with .NET framework in 2002 and became an even more powerful ASP.NET technologies. Many programmers where then attracted by the simplicity and the efficiency of Asp .Net and soon shifted to using it. ASP ran on top of IIS server develop-ed by microsoft and its now compatible with all microsoft windows versions. Recently, a hacking competition was held at microsoft for various hackers across the world. They were given different servers and their task was to hack into them. About 90% hackers after trying for a day where able to hack into most of the servers but none were able to penetrate even the top layer of IIS server. Microsoft were thus able to establish the strength of IIS and the security it implemented. And also they showed that Asp code which runs on top of this IIS server will also be secure and free from any penetration problems. They were also able to show that ASP pages were much faster than any other server side script. This made Asp the only choice for most of the programmers.

Need for ASP/ASP .net:
ASP .NET is a very powerful means of developing a project with the following advantages:

• ASP pages are integrated along with HTML scripts and so you would get WYSISWYG(What You See Is What You Get)  environment.
• Its a pure server side technology and hence all the codes only exists in the server only and the result is only sent to the client side.
• ASP.NET provides built-in authentication and pre-application configuration and hence provides better security than many other languages.
• And also it provides easy deployment of the project as there is no need to register components before deployment as all the information are built in automatically.
• The server could closely monitor all the processes, which could detect problems such as infinite loop and dead locks and automatically remove that process.
• ASP will be fast, secure and optimal for all the applications.
• Asp being language independent allows you to choose the language that best suits your requirement.
